- The Man : No the point is that for some people they can get data without a data plan
- Tyler Couill : is it possible that its not working because i have to have a data plan for it to work because that would ruin the whole point of trying to get free internet
- Tyler Couill : ok the question is should the number used as the wap be my mobile device number or mobile identification number i have a family share plan and i put in my MDN in there and the wap number i cant switch back to my MIN what am i doing wrong here
- Tyler Couill : ok i got the conformation code to send but everytime i try to use my phone to get on the internet it says for wireless internet services dial *611 and thats verizons help line i have the ip correct everything i followed for the right instructions is the wap number suppose to be my m.i.n.# instead of just my telephone number lemme talk to the man on this
- Tyler Couill : cuz i pressed send the code and i aint receiving the code to my phone
- Tyler Couill : hey im trying to activate my account here and send the conformation number to my phone is my WAP number my cell phone number or should the WAP be my M.I.N.(mobile identification number)
- The Man : I looked through the logs Marsha and im not seeing you the system. This usually means you have a setting not correct on your phone. Unfortunately with the ENV2 i can't be much help. I can direct you to another place with is howardforums.com which should have the information you need.
- Marsha Johns : anyone on the forum who can help me set up my env2 as a modem? tried the wiki instrution but still can't get it to work. thx!
- Marsha Johns : It's been a min. since I posted the msg, but I think I might have gotten a 401 or 404 error msg, not 100% on that tho.
